Esoteric has introduced a tube amplifier that can be used as a direct stereo power amplifier or as an integrated (line level), power amplifier. This new hybrid technology incorporates proprietary circuitry and "cutting edge" tube technology.

The A-100 provides a minimum of 90 watts (45 wpc), power output from 4, KT-88's in UL-push/pull operation driven with a direct coupled cathode follower. The cathode follower and voltage amplification stage is directly coupled to form a triple stage combining a variable self-biasing system and a zero voltage control system. The bias system used is an advanced active biasing circuit. This system compensates for fluctuations in bias voltage as supplied to the output stage by detecting cathode current and output level demand. This bias control implementation improves linearity and performance of the output stage by maintaining optimum voltage control. The innovative zero voltage control system stabilizes the cathode follower DC output level to improve operation of directly-coupled circuit components. This occurs in an end to end process from the driver stage to the output stage. Both of these circuits combine to improve the stability and the clarity of the amplifier's output.

The A-100 features a newly designed custom output transformer designed to achieve highly delicate and precise musicality. The amplifier uses specially treated copper foil as the 2nd order coil. This design maintains very tight coupling properties between the 1st order coil. All stages except the KT-88 are powered by fully stabilized power supplies. With this innovative power supply design, the A-100 reproduces an exceptionally deep and finely detailed soundstage.

All tubes except the KT-88 are DC heated. Hum noise is reduced by this heater design. Power supply and output transformers are held by an extremely rigid 'H' structure and circuit components reside in a block configuration surrounding this mainframe design. The massive chassis construction isolates unwanted vibrations and resonance between circuit components and power supplies.

The A-100 is designed for pure power amplification but it also works as an integrated (line level), amplifier by selection from an operating switch on the rear panel designating DIRECT or LINE IN. LINE IN mode activates an input selector (RCA x3 / XLR x1), and also a high quality volume control. For LINE IN operations an illuminated remote control is included.

AI-10, a digital integrated amplifier, analog to digital converter and master clock sync generator combined into a single component

As an audiophile device, Esoteric's AI-10 combines high power 2 channel output with an analog to digital converter plus a master
clock sync generator. This model is truly unique to the high end audio business. The analog to digital converter allows high sampling rate conversion at 192 kHz/176.4kHz for analog input signals. The SS-010 stereo power amplifier, is the outcome of many years of dedicated efforts by designer Hans-Ole Vitus with the aim to bring out the best in musical recordings, using his experience as a musician.

The SS-010 is based on a brand new circuitry which uses only matched transistors and super precision resistors to ensure optimal working conditions for the different stages of each module. This combined with a special coupling of each input stage, results in an ultra linear frequency response.

The result is a power amplifier, capable of exposing micro details/dynamics never heard before without compromising the coherence of the recording.

XA6950 adopts current negative feedback amplifying circuit with wide frequency rang,high speed and low distortion.

1.Preceding stage adopts the fundamental circuit of the well-appraised XA8200 of our company, succeeding the features of XA8200.

2.Following stage adopts asymmetric current negative feedback circuit, which has broad frequency responding range and low distortion.

3.Every channel has two stages of impulse, and the final stage adopt four pairs of high quality high-power Hi-Fi transistor (XA6950se use MOS FET transistor) as output, which has great dynamic range and strong low frequency control ability.

4.Two high-power ring power transformers supply power for the left channel and right channel, as well as the preceding stage and the following stage individually. The following stage is provided with high speed commuting bridge, while the preceding stage use low internal resistance for the servo of constant voltage power supply.

XA6200 (08) is hybrid integrated amplifier with tube pre-stage and transistor back-stage to endow it with advantages of both tube amplifier and transistor amplifier. So the performance of this amplifier is not only satisfactory music feeling but also ideal acoustics.

The pre-amplifier stage adopts famous ECC88 (6922) which is good at linearity, low distortion, high solution and transparent timbre. The back-stage adopts complete symmetry complementary circuit structure, to assure less nonlinear distortion and transient intermodulation distortion, wide frequency. The drive transistor on voltage amplifying is MOTO pair transistors which is canonizing among audiophiles. Output transistors are two pair of A1943/C5200 in parallel connection to insure enough capacity of current output.

The back-stage power supply consists of a piece of high-power toroidal transformer, two pieces of 50A/1000V Bridge Rectifier and four pieces of high quality 10000uF/63V filter electrolytic capacitor and the left and right channel are completely separated. The power supply for the tubes filament and control are supplied from different windings from transformer.
